DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Community Service Day 2021. \n\n\n\nThis event is closed for registration. \n\n\n\nCommunity Service Day brings together volunteers of all ages to help area senior citizens\, Dublin schools and non-profit organizations with spring clean up and outdoor projects. The success of this event can be measured not only by the lives enhanced\, but also in the sense of community pride it fosters.\n\n\n\nDue to COVID-19\, groups will be small and pre-assigned. The sites participating in Community Service Day have been instructed to not provide snacks or refreshments. We ask that all who volunteer follow the CDC Guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing.\n\n\n\nWhen you arrive at BMI Federal Credit Union\, please:\n\n\n Stay in your car and text 614-203-1109\n Your Site Leader will meet you at your car. \n You have been pre-assigned to a small working group\, so if you have to cancel for any reason\, please call us ASAP. Don't wait until the morning of the event as your site leader will have a hard time filling your position. \n Bring your completed volunteer waiver form(s) with you the morning of the event. You will need a wavier form for EACH member of your family. Please note that all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and/or legal guardians must sign a waiver form for all children under the age of 18.\n A Volunteer Waiver Form MUST be completed and returned to your site leader upon check-in. When you turn in your volunteer waiver form\, you will receive a SWAG BAG full of goodies and a Volunteer T-Shirt\, while supplies last.\n Your site leader will provide you the address of the site(s) you will need to drive to. Your worksite(s) will include senior citizen homes and/or Dublin City Schools buildings\, etc. \n Please wear your mask at all times\, and social distance. Keep your distance from the homeowner\, as we DO NOT want to have any contact with senior citizens.\n\n\n \n\nThe Dublin Chamber of Commerce wants everyone to have a great experience on Saturday\, please: \n\n\n Take your temperature at home before coming to this volunteer event. If you have a fever\, cough\, shortness of breath or any other symptom of COVID-19\, please stay home. We will be following CDC guidelines and all volunteers will need to wear a mask and practice social distancing. \n\n\n \n\nBelow are some helpful tips to consider: \n\n\n WEATHER: A little rain will not cancel this event. However\, high winds or lightning will. If you are unsure on the day of the event\, please call 614-203-1109.\n CLOTHES: You will be working outside. Volunteers should plan on getting dirty and possibly wet. All volunteers should bring WORK GLOVES\, sunscreen\, water\, and should dress for the weather.\n TOOLS: Please bring your own hand tools such as trowels\, hand trimmers\, rakes\, shovels\, etc. Put them in your car and bring them with you to the work site. We recommend that you label your tools with your name and phone number. DO NOT share your tools with anyone\, only you should have contact with your tools.
