Women In Business Luncheon with Dr. Whitney Raglin Bignall
Overcoming the Mental Health Stigmas - Let's Talk!
This event is sponsored by:
A national crisis has been hiding in plain sight. Children’s mental health has been one of the least talked about issues in America – until now! Have you been touched by a child struggling with mental health concerns? Join us at The Club at Tartan Fields, Dublin for a meaningful discussion with Dr. Whitney Raglin Bignall, Nationwide Children's Hospital and Associate Clinical Director of the On Our Sleeves Movement for Children’s Mental Health as she shows us how break stigmas and start conversations - and how we can get involved!
Dr. Raglin Bignall has a passion for making mental health services equitable for all children and families. That passion has played out in her career through her academic and clinical work with a focus on narrowing mental health disparities in children.
Before joining the On Our Sleeves team, Dr. Raglin Bignall played an integral role in working with families at a Nationwide Children’s Primary Care Center, which served a primarily low-income and racially diverse community. She also implemented a program to help enhance parenting skills for raising young children and built partnerships with community organizations, primary care offices and neighborhood schools. Building trust and creating positive relationships with families and communities is vital to the work of Dr. Raglin Bignall. For this reason, you will often find her attending community events to provide information and fun educational activities for children.
Dr. Raglin Bignall is a new mom who loves spending time with her family, cooking meals for everyone she knows, and listening to great music.
Dr. Raglin Bignall received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University, and a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her clinical residency at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and a post-graduate National Institutes of Health National Research Service Award fellowship in general academic pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She was named to the Who’s Who in Black Columbus list in 2019 and is a 40 under 40 Leader in Minority Health award winner of the National Minority Quality Forum and the Congressional Black Caucus.
